These two days, we’ll be helping local hosts understand how to:

✨ Build a clean digital presence & attract homestay literate guest.
✨ Engage guests & create authentic experiences

After the workshop, 5 homestays will receive mentorship from Homestays of India — helping them grow and shine as model host of the Himalayas. 🌿

The 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗨𝗗𝗥𝗔 𝗟𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝘀, organized by the Ministry of Tourism would be a milestone in the history of homestay sector. Also, it was a proud moment for HOI as our Co-founders Shailza Sood Dasgupta and Vinod Verma represented the sector and shared insights from their on-ground experience.

At Homestays of India, we believe financial inclusion is a key driver in strengthening community-led tourism. Initiatives like MUDRA Loan open new doors for homestay owners - helping them upgrade infrastructure, improve guest experiences, and generate livelihoods at the grassroots level.

Grateful to the Ministry of Tourism for this initiative and looking forward to more collaborations that bring lasting change in the homestay ecosystem.

After a daring attempt to assassinate Adolf Hi**er in 1939, Fred Smetacek fled Germany and found safety in India. Here, destiny brought him to Shaheda Ahad, a descendant of Tipu Sultan.
