Taj Palace, New Delhi was born from a defining moment in India’s sporting history, as the Capital prepared to welcome Asia for the 1982 Asian Games.

In the decades since, our doors have opened to some of India’s greatest sporting legends. Champions who carried a nation’s hopes, raised the glorious tricolour on the world stage and inspired generations to dream bigger.

This National Sports Day, we celebrate the extraordinary sporting legends who have made India proud, and a Palace privileged to have been part of their journeys.
