১ লা বৈশাখ এর সন্ধ্যা! ঝর্ণাপাহাড়ের কোলে!

সূর্য ডুবেছে অনক-খন, এক মায়াবী নিস্তব্ধতা নিয়ে সিংয়াং উপত্যকা শহরের কোলাহল থেকে অনেক দূরে!!! এ ভরা গ্রীষ্মেও ভালো ঠান্ডা এখোনো!
ফায়ারপ্লেস ঘিরে বসে গানের আসর শুরু হলো। গায়ে গরম শাল জড়িয়ে আর পাহাড়ের হিমেল হাওয়ায় মিশে সবাই যেন এক সুরে বাঁধা পড়েছিলেন; কবিগুরুর সুরের মূর্ছনায়।
আজকের সন্ধ্যায় আমাদের বিশেষ পাওনা হলো Sangita Pal র উপস্থাপনা! কি সুন্দর যে গাইলো..."ও যে মানে না মানা..."
সাথে আগুনের ওম নতুন বছরকে স্বাগত জানাচ্ছিলো পরম আন্তরিকতায়। মাথার ওপর আকাশ ছিল গাঢ় মখমলের মতো, আর দূরের আলোগুলো মিটমিট করছিল ঠিক যেন ঝরে পড়া নক্ষত্রের মতো। এখানে বিলাসিতা আছে এই সরল মুহূর্তগুলোর মাঝে, কাঠকয়লার ধোঁয়া আর পাইনের সুবাসে! আর এমন গান! ছন্দ! মনে হয়না বাড়ি থেকে দূরে আছি!

স্প্রিংহিল ফার্মস্টেড: পেলিং!

পেলিং এ ব্যতিক্রমী একটি থাকার জায়গা খুঁজছেন? শহর থেকে এসে কেন আবার শহরে। শৈল-শহর গুলির জমজমট ব্যবস্থাপনায়, আর বর্তমান সময়ের সাথে পাল্লা দিয়ে ফাঁকা জায়গায় হোটেল-রেস্তোরায় ভরে ওঠায়, সুর কাটে প্রকৃত পাহাড়প্রেমিদের। পেলিং শহর থেকে মাত্র ৬কিমি দূরে, নির্জন প্রকৃতির মাঝে আমাদের হোমস্টে বা ফার্মস্টে।
