Its so heartwarming when a well restored public building is made accessible to the public. Our is now open, for a small fee of 50/- per person, to go up and enjoy the spectacular view of the Promenade, the crumbling old jetty and parts of the French quarter. This is within walking distance from Kariappa House and they also have a gallery up there.

Teresa & Maurice came as guests many years ago and now they come back every year to become the hosts for a month while we get to go away. The cats LOVE them and we think its mutual. The house corners get inspected and cleaned out thanks to Teresa's sharp eyes, which misses nothing. Best and best one can ask for.

Our DD does not miss a single corner! Her favorite time with me is to inspect the rooms and she makes it so much fun! My only fear is that she has inadvertently got locked in a couple of times!

Seeking suggestions from all for ideas on how to stop rain water drips on the verandahs while retaining a charming, . We do have some ideas but it will be great to get some creative suggestions.

After almost 8 hrs of thunder & lightening, it started pouring! 3rd time this month of May, taking away the oppressive heat and also electric supply! Time to sit hack and enjoy the rains...
