A day at The Residency Puducherry can be spent almost entirely at the table, with a few good reasons to get up in between.

It begins at Krave, over coffee and something buttery from the morning's baking. Then a cycle through the streets, or an hour at the spa, before Pavilion lays out lunch – Indian through to Continental, with live counters cooking to order. The afternoon goes to the pool, or to nothing in particular. By evening, Bikes takes over, with music on most nights and a seat worth holding on to.

Here, a whole day passes and very little is asked of you.
