Kapoor Tourist Cottage is registered with the Andaman & Nicobar Tourism Department under gold category for home stays. Located in the heart of Port Blair, Kapoor Tourist Cottage is an antique building which was constructed in 1938 during the pre-independence epoch. The rich architecture of the cottage exudes the excellent work of the Burmese carpenters who were exclusively trained by the British.

This could be seen from the old photographs of Abardeen bazaar and Ross Island. The ground floor is properly renovated and is featured with all modern amenities required for a comfortable stay. The first floor of the house serves as a residential property of the owners. They are ready to extend their support anytime you feel the need. The ground floor comprises of two independent cottages equipped with dining and kitchen facilities, spacious bedrooms with an attached living room. Each cottage can easily accommodate a family of four persons who seek to explore Port Blair at their own pace. The entire atmosphere gives you a home like feeling as you are free to plan your day outs, cook meals as per your desire or order from the two restaurants located very near to the cottage. You can also relax at the lush garden in the front side of the cottage by enjoying sips of tea or starring at the drizzling drops of rain or just read books. The strategic location of the cottage allows tourists to enjoy easy accessibility to other important places like Aberdeen Bazar or the Airport. Most of the tourist spots are in close proximity which can even be explored through walks. If you are passionate about photography, you can enjoy clicking amazing pictures by wandering on the serene roads of Port Blair. The cottages are perfect for family having young kids who search for spaces for enjoying outdoor games. It is also ideal for tourists who are keen to get a close view of the local culture and the scenic beauty of this place.
