Eco-Hamlet is a "Sustainable living" model created to help save the environment and encourage others to do the same. We run a Home Stay project and provide people with clean water, organic food and aesthetically enhanced and comfortable house to stay in hygienic conditions for a healthy living. We cultivate grains such as rice, wheat and alternate them with pulses and vegetables. This way some of

the nutrients removed by the earlier crops are returned to the soil. We manage the water by recycling, recharging and harvesting to reduce the energy consumption. The sustainable farming naturally rejuvenates Soil, purifies Air and saves Water, keeps us healthy physically and mentally. The house is built on sustainable principles. Energy efficiency has been built into the design, construction methods and building materials. This technique helps us to reduce the use of non renewable and energy embodied material, minimizes the use of non biodegradable objects, and saves us expensive electricity thus the fossil fuel so to preserve the ecosystem for our wellbeing. We use the greenery, water, and wind to keep the house cool in summers, and in winters draw on the sunlight to keep it warm, so as to ensure comfortable temperatures all the year round.

FINALLY! I have Solar Panels for all my energy requirements, including PUMPS. NOW MY PLANTS WOULD NOT DIE FOR WANT OF WATER. Eco Hamlet is Independent!

Courtesy MSEB for not supplying electricity!

Sometimes their DP would not function, other times the Transformer would burn down, and worse, they would cut the connection because the villagers were not paying the bills.
I didn't have electricity for days and sometimes months together.
IT WAS CHAOTIC!

By the way, I did NOT get any subsidy! I had to hook up my solar connection to MSEB to avail of the same. Which meant the same thing. I would not get the connection despite having my own solar system.

Now wait! It is not saving me any money, though. MSEB is billing me the same as before. Reason not known! No window for registering complaints.
