शहरामधील बदलते राहणीमान, जुन्या होणाऱ्या इमारती, ज्येष्ठत्वाकडे जाणारे वयोमान आणि एखादी खोली जास्त मिळण्याची शाश्वती यामुळे जुन्या इमारतींचा पुनर्विकास प्रत्येकाच्या जिव्हाळ्याचा व अनिवार्य विषय झालेला आहे.

परंतु बहुसंख्य नागरिकांना या बाबत कोणतेही ज्ञान वा अनुभव नसतो. शंका निरसन व खात्रीलायक मार्गदर्शन कोठून मिळेल हा यक्ष प्रश्न असतो.

हि सामाजिक कोंडी सोडविण्यासाठी आम्ही या क्षेत्रातील जाणत्या व सामाजिक बांधिलकी जपणाऱ्या ज्येष्ठ व अनुभवी तंत्रज्ञ, वास्तूविशारद, कायदे तज्ञ यांचे मार्गदर्शक मंडळ स्थापन केलेले आहे. जेणेकरून सर्व इच्छुक नागरिक बंधू-भगिनींना शासकीय पुनर्विकास मार्गदर्शक तत्वानुसार सुयोग्य सल्ला मिळेल.

तरी या संधीचा फायदा घेऊन इच्छुक नागरिक व गृह रचना संस्था आम्हास संपर्क साधू शकतात व समस्या निराकरण आमचे तज्ञाकडून करण्यात येईल.

The word Maval is derived from a Marathi word Maval, meaning the direction in which the sun sets. This region is towards the west of Pune area. It is hilly terrain and part of the Sahyadri range/western ghats. The Sahyadri range goes from north to south. On the western part of the range lies the Konkan area and on the eastern side 'Maval'. Many rivers originate from this region and travel from west to east. Broadly speaking maval is subdivided into 12 subregions. Each subregion is mostly identified by the name of a river. The names of the subregions are Nane maval, Andar maval, Pawan maval, Gunjan maval, Karyat maval, Kanand maval, Hirdus maval, Mose Maval, Velkhand Maval, Korbarse maval etc. The highest point of this region is the Mahabaleshwar area, which is approximately 4500 feet above sea level. Maval is one of the world's highly biodiversified regions. It was the first abode of Shivaji, who formed an army of the local peasants called 'Mavale'. Chhatrapati Shivaji united, motivated, empowered and trained the 'mavale'. Maval region is a home to numerous forts of significant historical military importance. The whole of this region proudly carries the historical footprints of the Great Shivaji and his loyal 'Mavale'.

Maval is towards the west of Pune District. It receives heavy rainfall. This is the hilly area of Pune, with one of the biggest range of mountains in Maharashtra i.e. Sahyadri Mountain. The Hill Stations like Lonavala and Khandala are in Maval where tourists are mostly attracted in the rainy season. Most of the area is covered with Forest. Sag, Teak, Oak, Mango, are the trees found in the forest. Rabbit, Deer, Wolf, Fox, Tiger and Leopards are the wild animals found in the forest of this area. Peacock, Bulbul, Parrot are some of the birds which you can see here. Rice is commonly grown.
