Finally… after three years, this ghost of the forest decided to grace the farm with its presence 🤍✨

The elegant Paradise Flycatcher in its stunning white form — a sight that feels almost unreal in the wild. Watching it glide through the trees is nothing short of magical.

Supposedly, the long white streamers you see. That’s the male’s tail, which can grow up to twice its body length!
Not all are white — they also appear in a rich rufous (reddish-brown) form before turning white as they mature.
True to its name, it’s a master flyer — catching insects mid-air with incredible precision.
They are very shy and elusive, which explains the 3-year wait!

Sternocera Jewel Beetle

One of stunning metallic beetles, famous for its emerald-green iridescence. The colour is it’s structural light reflection, which makes the shell shine like metal.

Lives around dry forests, farmlands, and flowering trees.Plays an important role in nature as a pollinator and part of the ecosystem’s balance.
Its hard wing cases were traditionally used in handcrafted jewellery because of their natural shine.
In some places the larve and the bettle are both consumed.
This one was seen in our forests recently and had to share it with our insta family. So much to learn and know each day!

On , we celebrate the gentle giants who teach us patience, strength, and never cease to amaze us.
Grateful for moments like these — there’s always something new to learn from them.

Protecting elephants means protecting entire ecosystems — they shape forests, spread seeds, and remind us of the balance we share with nature.

At Camper’s Creek, we are blessed to have these magnificent beings around us and remain committed to working with local communities to spread awareness on coexistence — the only way forward

Bush Quail Chicks!
Almost stepped on these tiny, well-camouflaged chicks today!
They stay completely still until they’re sure the danger has passed—nature's instinct at its finest.

It’s moments like these that bring us so much joy.
Grateful to witness such amazing flora and fauna in this beautiful ecosystem we call home.

“Enjoying a refreshing swim in our natural clay pond! Not only is it a peaceful escape, but the clay’s minerals help detoxify and rejuvenate the skin. Nothing like a swim in it after a hot day.
A perfect way to connect with nature and experience its magic.

The first project of 2025 under the Hands Together initiative by Camper's creek is dedicated to supporting the brave foot soldiers of Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary in their efforts to control and prevent forest fires. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the members of (Bangalore East Round Table 27 Charitable Trust) for their generous contribution in providing backpacks, water sippers and few flashlights for the dedicated personnel working on the ground.
A special note of thanks to .patil for taking up this request and presenting it to the team at BERT 27, making this collaboration possible. Forests are the lungs of our planet, and only through collective effort can we achieve meaningful and impactful goals in conservation

(These are pictures from the distribution at CWLS and over the next few days we would be coming the ETF and ground staff of Satannur forest department)

Camper's creek is Green leaf certified!

We received this certificate of recognition from the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Additional District Magistrate of Ramanagara district Mr. Chandraiah R for our efforts in responsible waste management and disposal practices.

This program, under the Ministry of Tourism, India, and the Karnataka State Tourism Board, assesses and rates waste management practices in the hospitality sector in the district. We are thrilled that our practices have been recognized by the team.

This initiative motivates us to continue working towards responsible tourism and sustainable practices, which are essential in today's world.

We thank our campers for their cooperation in accepting our waste management practices and adhering to them. It helps us all work towards adopting more sustainable practices.
