When you first arrive at Aahana, the silence may feel unfamiliar.

But stay with it.

Soon, you’ll begin to notice what the silence has to say. Birds calling from the trees, the scent of rain on the earth, butterflies drifting through the gardens, the sound of your own footsteps, and perhaps, for the first time in a while, your own thoughts.

At Aahana, silence isn’t the absence of sound. It’s the presence of self-awareness you have been missing.

Following the herd through the day.

A moment to cool, play and reconnect.

Breakfast is a little different when the forest is your pantry.

Between journeys and meals, there is always time for joy.

Following familiar trails, guided by instinct and memory.

The herd is everything.
Every step, every lesson, every memory is shared.

A welcome is rarely a single moment.

It begins earlier in the details carefully placed, preferences remembered, fresh flowers just to greet you, the calming scent of lemongrass drifting through the room.

Before you even open the door, someone has already thought of your rest. A room is waiting for you, your sanctuary in the midst of the forest.

Not every tiger you come to Corbett hoping to see wants to be seen.

Some will watch you from the grass.
Some will disappear before you even realise they were there.

Some you’ll only know were there because of fresh pugmarks on the road.

That’s what makes every sighting so special.
Over the years, Corbett has become home to one of the highest tiger populations anywhere in the world—a reminder of what is possible when forests are protected and allowed to thrive.

This International Tiger Day, here’s to the striped king of our forests, and to everyone working quietly behind the scenes to keep them wild.

Before there were rooms, there were trees. Before there were guests, there was the land.

The story of Aahana has always been one of restoration. Over the years, more than 4,500 native trees have been planted and nurtured across Aahana, slowly transforming the land into a thriving habitat where birds return and the forest continues seamlessly from its boundary with Jim Corbett National Park.

The architecture follows the same philosophy. Rooms welcome daylight and windows frame the forest rather than separate it. Beneath the landscape, one of Asia’s largest Root Zone Treatment Plants recycles nearly 1.5 crore litres of water each year, using nothing more than the remarkable Canna plant. Across the resort, rainwater harvesting replenishes the groundwater, ensuring every season gives back to the next.

Everyday, we celebrate not only the nature that surrounds us, but our responsibility to leave it richer than we found it.

Long before conservation became a movement, Jim Corbett reminded the world that understanding the wilderness begins with compassion.

On his birth anniversary, we honour his enduring legacy.
