This time ditch the typical touristy places and explore a new valley of Himachal Pradesh. Visit us at The Conifer Stay, Ranot, a hidden gem just a 4-hour drive from Shimla along NH5.

Your route: Chandigarh (Take the Himalayan expressway) – onto NH5 Parwanoo - Solan – Shimla – Narkanda –Kingal - Rampur Bushahr (Take diversion onto MDR 19 Gaura Mashnoo Sarahan Road )– Racholi – Gaura – Dobi – Ranot.

*Rampur Bushahr to Ranot is 24km.

Located at an elevation of 7,000 feet, our family-owned homestay is a Himalayan retreat like no other, located in Village Ranot. It is situated in our private apple orchard overlooking the beautiful green valley with multiple mountain peaks. Our home has glass walls and a glass roof that transform the valley and the majestic Himalayas into a living work of art.

Here's a reference on how you can spend your 3-night, 4-day stay at The Conifer Stay, Ranot:

🌄 Day 1: Arrive at The Conifer Stay, Ranot, early in the evening. Enjoy in and around the property.

🏞️ Day 2: Begin the day with a delightful breakfast and head to Sarahan. The road to Sarahan winds through fragrant pine & oak trees, and mutilple streams, leading you to the magnificent Bhimakali Temple, one of the 51 sacred Shaktipeeths. When in Sarahan, don't forget to visit the tranquil Hawa Ghar for breathtaking views of Sarahan town and the snow-capped Shrikhand peak.
Don't forget to stop by the Kinu Waterfall on your return to Ranot after lunch.

🏞️ Day 3: Start early for a mesmerizing trip to Sharikoti. The Shraikoti temple, perched at 10,000 feet, rewards you with a 360-degree panorama of the valley and the majestic Himalayan peaks, including Shrikhand, Bhelnu, and Moraldanda. The trek from temple's parking till the temple at the hill top, may be a little challenging, but the view is absolutely worth it.

During our evening walk today, we were captivated by the stunning wildflowers, lush green grass, and even managed to spot many butterflies (although could click a clear picture of just one! 😄). It's truly enchanting how what appears as a simple green landscape from a distance transforms into a world bursting with vibrant and beautiful colors when you take a closer look. Imagine spending a chilled out , lazy Sunday evening lying on the couch , looking up at the sky.. and then realising that it’s beautifully strange that when you look up at the sky you see all these tiny clouds coming together , likely for a rain.. but then your look down at the valley.. everything’s turning golden, the sun is setting down, with no clouds at all. And the perspective changes!

This is just our home perfectly blending into the apple orchard.
