Goa Diary -Day 1 Evening Restaurant
This trip was the most needed for the family for 2 reasons : 1) I was detected with Slip disc few months back and hence couldn't ventured out of home so badly needed to get out and 2) My elder daughter was too stressed for her 10th preliminary exams so we all thought that this break will recharge her for the board exams. When it comes to a trip , there is nothing better than Goa and we were all set for a 5 days trip.
Here, I am trying to capture most of my Foodie and hospitality related experience and the purpose is to provide you comparative experiences of the hospitality sector, obviously this will include hospitality of Nishka group.
Since I had the option of staying in Satara in my hometown, we planned for dinner at our own Nishka Restaurant. It has been just over 3 weeks now that we started managing this restaurant by ourselves, earlier it was done by a management partner and he kind of really screwed the whole experience for many of Nishka's guests. I will write about this in some other blog, for now let's focus on the food.
We reached Nishka Resto at around 8:45 PM, so it was the ideal time to have dinner, we went straight to the Terrace as the weather was good and my both girls wanted to experience the change which we have done at the Terrace. Reaching at the top terrace, both girls said- Baba, this looks good ! It was a good compliment from them as we generally explore many places in Metro cities so getting their positive Wow feedback was a good start.
We ordered Cheese Chicken Angara and it was amazingly done, the other dish was Banjara Kebab, where I felt that the egg stuffing was not necessary, instead Nishka should have focused on the core Chicken marination. For the Main course, we ordered Mutton Thali and the taste of the mutton clearly indicated the difference between the change of the ownership. Just to inform you all, Mahesh, who is my partner, does all grocery buying by himself, which ensures that the quality of the food is top class. In his purchasing process, Mahesh has discovered many horrific stories , which I will share later on. You get to know the details only when you plunge into it.
Post the bill we got Badishep (Sauf)- No matter how the food is, my wife loves eating the Sauf and when it's fresh, she would even pack some of them in the tissue paper, some habits just don't go away. She did this at her own Resto too..
The eve of the Goan trip went well !
