गहरी सांसो में, डूबती आँखों में
धुंधलाती यादों में, अस्पताल के किसी कोने में बिस्तर पे पड़े, लड़खड़ाती ज़ुबान से कुछ अल्फ़ाज़ कहने की कोशिश करती ज़िंदगी, और खत्म होती ज़िंदगी को समेटती मौत
बचपन को सिरहाने बैठाती,
माँ के आँचल की याद सी ज़िंदगी,
पिता की मजबूत हथेली का एहसास कराती,
भाई बहन, दोस्त प्यार का पहला एहसास,
पत्नी की पहली छुअन, बच्चे की कीलकारी,
रास्तों, सड़कों पे ता-उम्र भागती टूटती, बिखरती,
संवरती पल पल ज़िंदगी से पीछा छुड़ाती मौत,
घर की नीव से छत का सफर, बेटी की डोली को विदा करती, सब खो जाने के डर से ता उम्र सब कुछ समेटे
आज ज़िंदगी खुद को मौत के हाथों सोंप रही है,
धीरे धीरे पत्नी की आँखों से बह रही है ज़िंदगी,
