1. Guided Day Trek outside the Park
The guided trek is a complete experience in itself as each guest love it. The trek in so enriching as one goes through sparse forests with wildlife such as Chinkaras, Jackals and a large variety of bird life, then as one walks further through the village the landscape changes, the camera clicks incessantly. Stopping by the pond or a rivulet for a picnic lunch and see the livestock herders go past is another magical visual. To see mahua flowers strewn about and Langurs feeding on them early nippy morning and then have the village folk come and collect the leftovers is an interesting relationship that one builds between monkeys and humans. 2. Shopping for Vegetables in the Farmer's Market
One activity that most people love it to go to the Farmers’ market and shop for vegetables, local farm produce etc. The local folk congregate in an open area along the village and display their products. It is also a great photo opportunity. We let the guests buy, haggle and we pay for whatever they select. Those edible products are then cooked for the guests over a meal.
3. A visit to the nearby Shiva & Devi Temples
Inside the Bandhavgarh National Park, there is an ancient old temple by the name of Bandhavadheesh temple. Situated adjacent to Bandhavgarh Fort, Lakshman the younger brother of Lord Rama is the main deity of the temple. Although Bandhavgarh Fort has been deserted long time back, the temple is still active with the priests available in all seasons. During your stay, we will take you to this ancient temple.
