Let's Hike Dzükou Valley 🌿

DZUKOU VALLEY 2 NIGHTS / 3 DAYS PACKAGE
OBJECTIVES:
To appreciate indigenous perspectives on ways of living together and using resources sustainably;
To appreciate the role of indigenous knowledge and traditional ways of learning in maintaining the sustainability of a community;
To identify opportunities for integrating relevant knowledge of camping out in the wild terrains of NorthEast India.
LOCATION: Dzükou Valley, Nagaland
Located between the North Eastern States of Nagaland and Manipur, the enchanted valley will leave you mesmerised with its unconditional and prolific natural bliss.
Ideal time to visit Dzükou Valley is from the month of June to September. It is at this time that the valley is carpeted with various stunning and vibrant flowers.
All the wild rhododendrons and lillies will be in full bloom during this season and hence the best time to marvel the beauty of this valley.
Itinerary Plan : 03 Days / 02 Nights at Dzukou Valley

Day 01: From Dimapur to Dzukou Valley
After you arrive at Dimapur by train or bus. Then we will take a breakfast & board our cars to ride-out to Kohima which is 85 kms and will take us 5 hours to reach. After reaching Kohima, we will take the lunch and continue our ride upto Zakhama / Vishwama Village for 1 and half hours. From there, after some brief resting we will start our trekking to Dzukou valley.
For the initial 5 hours, there is steep climb through the forest which takes much effort. After that we will reach the checkpoint and rest-cottage.
By Evening, we will finally reach Dzukou Valley Guest House & We will provide dinnner. After dinner we will rest at the available dormitory / tent for the night.
Day 02: Exploration of Dzukou Valley
Post breakfast in the morning, we will explore the Dzukou Valley blooming with wild flowers and plants. Along the way we will trek through natural caves and crystal clear streams. After Valley exploration we will give your lunch at dormitory & dinner at night.
Day 03: Dzukou Valley to Dimapur
After spending an idle morning in the valley, we will take breakfast and we will proceed our downward trek to Zakhama.
After completing the trekking we will back to Kohima for Lunch and after having food will return towards Dimapur.

Other Important Information:
Electricity and Mobile Network is not available in Dzukou Valley.
Do not carry more than 1 bag/rucksack as you may need to use your hand during climbing up the hill.
Try to keep your baggage weight as low as possible which will be helpful during climbing up the hill.
Students with breathing problems are not advised to take this trip.
