Hello and Welcome to the White House B&B (Bed and Breakfast) Tura!
Our inspiration to start the B&B is deep-rooted in our upbringing. We grew up watching our parents literally opening up their home in the village for refugees (during the war) and for people from the village visiting Tura. They built shelters and trenches in our ancestral home in the village and in Tura, they built a dedicated bamboo house for those who were stranded after completing their chores or running errands in town. Those days there were no buses or any sort of public transport in the evening. Our humble home was a natural sanctuary for everyone who needed a place to rest.
With the changing times and people’s need constantly evolving, we may not be able to replicate exactly what our parents did, then. Our desire is to emulate some of the values our parents have engrained in us, while making it relevant and responding to the needs of today’s technology savvy and connected travellers from across spectrum.
Our property is minimalistic. We have two bedrooms, one bathroom, one common living area, a pantry and parking space. Currently, we only have a make-shift dorm for the drivers. The pantry has electric water heater, tea, coffee, cereals, plates, bowls, cups, glasses and cutlery. Our wish is to provide our guests comfort, convenience and clutter-free cosy space, where they can experience complete relaxation, evoke creativity and embrace possibilities.
Located just two-minute walk from the main road (Araimile to Garobadha road), the White House B&B is easily accessible by car and autorikshaw (the commonly used public transport in Tura).
