Recently reopened to trekkers and tourists after almost 60 years, the Gartang Gali in Uttarkashi District is said to be built by the Peshawar Pathans. This, more than a century & a half old 136-m long wood-lined stairway is an architectural wonder, made by cutting the stone of a vertical rock face. 27 Sept.'2022, World Tourism Day.

Hotel Association Uttarkashi celebrated World Tourism Day by opening a new trek route from the centre of Uttarkashi upto Varunawat Top. The theme of the trek was 'Kashi to Kandar'.

It's a moderate trek of 3 kms which starts from Bus station of Uttarkashi and passing through beautiful pine forest reaches upto the top of Varunawat Mountain. Since Uttarkashi town is located at the foothills of this mountain, you can experience spectacular views of the city as you climb upwards. As you reach at the top you can see the panoramic view of entire city and adjoining villages from Varunawat Top or V-Top as it is popularly known.
At a distance of 1km from V-top there is Sangrali Village which is home to Shri Kandar Devta, an important local deity, worshipped as Lord of justice in Uttarkashi.

The task would not have been possible without the support of village Sangrali, Pata, Bagiyalgaon, Uttarkashi District Administration , Uttarkashi Tourism Department, Uttarkashi Police Uttarakhand and District Hospital Uttarkashi and obviously the asociation members and people of Uttarkashi who came out and participated in the event very enthusiastically.

हाईकोर्ट की अनुमति के बाद सरकार ने चारधाम यात्रा शुरु तो कर दी है, लेकिन रजिस्ट्रेशन की जटिल प्रक्रिया ने तीर्थयात्रियों की मुश्किलों को बढ़ा दिया है । E-pass होने के बावजूद 35 से 40 % यात्री नहीं आ रहे हैं । जो यात्री दर्शन के लिए आ चुके हैं, उन्हे कई कई दिन तक रजिस्ट्रेशन के लिए इंतजार करना पड़ रहा है ।
यात्रियों को 5 से 6 रजिस्ट्रेशन कराने पड़ रहे है । एक धाम मे दर्शन तो हो रहे है, लेकिन दूसरे धाम मे दर्शन के लिए सप्ताह भर इंतजार करना पड़ रहा है ।

आशा है सरकार श्रद्धालुओं की समस्या और सुझावों का त्वरित संज्ञान लेके जल्द से जल्द कोइ समाधान निकालेगी ।

Hotel association उत्तरकाशी ने व्यापार मंडल को 2- 0 से पराजित कर सेमीफाइनल में प्रवेश किया।। श्री काशी विश्वनाथ फुटबॉल रनिंग ट्रॉफी के शानदार लीग के अंतिम मैच में होटल एसोसिएशन ने व्यापार मंडल के खिलाड़ियों पर बढत बनाई रखी।। होटल एसोसिएशन के आकाश चौधरी ने 1 गोल, अमन खंडूरी ने 1 गोल किया।। आकाश चौधरी मैन ऑफ द मैच रहे।। रामलीला मैदान दर्शकों से खचाखच भरा रहा।। इस अवसर पर अध्यक्ष शैलेन्द्र मटूड़ा, सचिव रविन्द्र नेगी, श्री राजेन्द्र पंवार, श्री महेश पंवार, श्री जगेंद्र भंडारी,श्री विजय बहादुर रावत, प्रकाश भद्री, सुभाष कुमाए, आशु गुम्बर टीम का हौसला बढ़ाने के लिये मैदान में डटे रहे।। सेमीफाइनल मैच 23 सितंबर को होटल एसोसिएशन व बाड़ाहाट फुटबॉल अकादमी के मध्य 1 बजे खेला जाएगा।। आप सभी सादर आमंत्रित है।
