April 2023 - Construction work was in full swing with inflow of materials like bricks, cement, steel, wash sand, aggregate onto the Lakehouse site and outflow of cash from our bank account. 😄 While we were getting guidance from elders in our families, it was a lot to deal with when you have only a little bit of experience. More often we were wondering how convenient it would be to purchase a flat in a city than to construct a Lakehouse in a village. Also, things work differently when it comes to service providers (contractor, electrician, fabricator, painter etc.) here than in the cities - you don’t have much alternatives and have to follow ‘their’ schedule, not yours. 😓 While this was okay upto an extent, it was disrupting our timelines. But while all this was going on, we were enjoying every day when there was a progress made - visiting the site, checking if things are done properly, water curing, material counting and watching a sunset before heading home.
