Every October 1st, the world stops to celebrate coffee. The crop that wakes up farms, drives economies, and connects people across every continent around a single cup.
In 2026, this moment became historic: the United Nations General Assembly officially recognised 1 October as International Coffee Day, elevating the date to the global stage and affirming what the coffee community has always known – that this is not just a drink. It is a livelihood, a culture, and a force for sustainable development for over 125 million people worldwide.
Today we celebrate Yercaud Coffee, salute the pioneers who brought coffee to Yercaud and established the estates that produce some of the best coffee in the world. Our thanks and appreciation to all who work in the coffee industry, the owners, the planters and those wonderful labourers who work so hard so we can enjoy that beautiful Yercaud Filter coffee. Simply the best.
