kooshk means house and honar means basically it means art house, and as soon as we explain it to our guests they ask where is the paintings?

definition of art is different in our language and its not limited to painting our music,
in Persian word art includes all aspects of life,
what ever you do can be an art.
in Persian culture and Persian language art and perfection are together.
art is the action u did perfectly
what ever you do, if its perfect, its considered as an art.

SHEFTE ANAR
a typical kashani food made by meat pomegranate and pea powder.
Actually the name means meat balls with taste of pomegranate, shefte anar is one of the oldest foods that people of kashan were eating often as you can easily find all ingredients are around kashan such as meat in fields and villages around kashan and peas in khave village and pomegranate which you can find easily in suburbs of kashan.
we people of kashan eat shefte with fresh bread and the food has two parts, its soup and meat balls. for eating soup we have a special way of eating which i will write about it in future posts.
Since 30 years ago we were not cooking this food and people changed diet and right now we r eating so much rice every day but there are some places that you can find shefte anar and other original food, our recommendation is hayat restaurant which is 50 meter far from kooshk e honar and you will have 10 percent discount if you let them know your staying at kooshk e honar hostel.

this is the death day of imam hosein the third religious leader of sh*tte Islam.
kashan is one of the most religious cities in iran and in ashura there are lots of traditions to do from morning till the mid night.
picture below is the special mourning that people do in center of bazaar in the morning.

STAR WATCHING TOUR
star watching tour is one of the most popular trips in kashan, it saves your time and it is the best affordable option to stay overnight in the desert.
after your visit to kashan you drop your bags in kooshk e honar guesthouse/hostel and rest a bit and at 11 p.m we start the journey into the desert in cool weather then we go for a twenty minute walk through the sands to camps which are near big sand dunes. we climb up to high dunes and from there you can easily see the milky way.
in the morning after watching sunrise you can ride camels or quad bikes with paying extra fee.
after breakfast we head back to kashan
