🏁🥟 Headed to Bergamo for the weekend? Forget the fashion runways... let’s talk about the ultimate comfort food runway! 🏔️✨

Bergamo is divided into two beautiful levels, and its culinary scene is just as elevated! If you have 48 hours to explore this historic gem, here is your non-negotiable weekend eating checklist:

🥟 The Iconic Casoncelli (Casonsei)
You cannot visit Bergamo without trying our signature pasta. These half-moon-shaped pockets are stuffed with a rich filling of meat, amaretto crumbs, and raisins, then smothered in a heavenly sauce of melted butter, crispy pancetta, and fresh sage. It is sweet, savory, and purely addictive!

🍰 Polenta e Osèi (The Sweet Kind!)
While Bergamo loves its savory cornmeal polenta, you absolutely must try the dessert version. It’s a clever sponge cake shaped exactly like a mound of polenta, filled with chocolate hazelnut cream, coated in yellow sugar, and topped with little marzipan birds. It's as fun to look at as it is to eat! 🤫

🍦 The Original Stracciatella Gelato
Did you know that the world-famous chocolate-chip gelato flavor was actually invented right here in Bergamo? Head to the historic Marianna pastry shop in Città Alta to try a scoop of the original Stracciatella where it all began back in 1961.

🧀 Formai de Mut & Local Cheeses
Bergamo's valleys produce some of the most incredible cheeses in Italy. Grab a cutting board featuring Formai de Mut or creamy Taleggio, paired with a glass of local Valcalepio red wine as you overlook the ancient Venetian walls.

What’s your first stop: a steaming plate of buttery Casoncelli or a scoop of the original Stracciatella? Let us know in the comments! 👇

Less than an hour drive from our h … the biggest UNESCO site in the world and the first one in Italy (from 1979!).

Siamo in Val Camonica. Anno 1979.

In breve:
Ospita oltre 140.000 incisioni rupestri (fino a 400.000 secondo stime recenti) realizzate dai Camuni in 10.000 anni
