📍Destination: Conca dei Marini
Immersed in a wonderful garden, among olive, lemon and carob trees, set in a panoramic view of suggestive beauty, Conca dei Marini is a small seaside town perched on a rocky hill between Capo di Conca and the Emerald Grotto.
Lying on the bottom of the Emerald Grotto, there is a permanent nativity scene, which was set up in 1964. The idea was of some locals, who wanted to remember their fallen at sea in this way. Initially the statues were made of ceramic, but recently they have been replaced by statues in glass resin, more resistant to contact with sea water. Every year, usually on the occasion of the celebrations dedicated to Sant'Andrea, a real underwater ritual is organized to pay homage to the nativity scene.

✅ One of the most fascinating legends linked to this pearl of the Amalfi Coast is certainly that of the Janare, female creatures of the sea, endowed with magical powers and able to intercept news of distant loved ones through the wind.

700 steps- Ideal starting point to reach Crapolla and its beach is the Piazza di San Tommaso Apostolo in Torca. From there you take, strictly on foot, a path of the immense area of the Lattari Mountains, which turns into a long descent consisting of 700 steps into limestone stone, although those who travel them frequently, having fun counting them, claims that they are 668 o 669, The steps will then conduct up to the ancient village of Caragolian fishermen, now uninhabited, and to the beach full of pebbles of the fjord, the arrival point of the itinerary.

Located in the wonderful coast that takes its name from Amalfi, the Fiordo di Furore represents an unmissable point of interest for those who want to discover the natural wonders of the area, measure themselves in adrenaline companies with dizzying dives, this small seaside village, in fact, rises in half of the rocks overhanging 250 meters high from the beach which, like the fjord, was formed following the erosion caused by the passage of the Schiato stream, even if according to the ancient legend the inlet was formed by the devil himself who had attempted in vain to grab the souls of the inhabitants of Furore. Of course, the fury of Furore does not even disappoint those who are looking for more adrenaline activities. Here one of the most famous dives of the peninsula is held every year, where athletes from all over the world challenge each other by throwing themselves from a platform located 28 meters high!

It is certainly not a competition for weak heart: you can reach 100 km/h before immersing yourself in the crystal clear waters of the Amalfi coast.

The Crapolla Fiordo in Massa Lubrense is certainly among the most suggestive inlets of the Sorrento Peninsula.

It is a place that preserves a rich historical and naturalistic heritage.

The pebble beach is also part of the Punta Campanella Protected Marine Reserve and is exposed to the sun only during some hours of the day, while most of the day it remains in the shade.

Cala di Mitigliano, together with Baia di Ieranto, is perhaps one of the most beautiful beaches in the Massa Lubrense area.

Surrounded only by uncontaminated nature, with a wonderful view of the Island of Capri and Punta Campanella, this place is truly an oasis of peace and relaxation!

The beach, whose shoreline is characterized by stones and small pebbles, is surrounded by high rocks and boulders. Stone was once extracted here, as demonstrated by the presence of a circular building where lime was produced inside.

Along the coast you can also see a suggestive circular cave that rests on a seabed of about 12 meters, a place suitable for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts.

Sorrento is often called the "land of the sirens" and it is precisely on the extreme tip of the peninsula that legend wants their "home". It is the bay of Ieranto, from the Greek 'Iros, a sacred place, a language of land that stretches from the seafare of Nerano to almost spoving Capri.

Ieranto today is owned by FAI, the National Fund for the Environment, which often organizes guided tours. Access to the area is always free.

How to get to Ieranto

The path that enters the bay of Ieranto starts from Nerano, the fishing village on the tip of the Sorrento peninsula.

The path starts 100 meters lower from the town square and is indicated by several signals.

Punta Campanella is the extreme tip of the Sorrento peninsula. In front there is only the sea and the island of Capri. A place of border between land and sea that has been covered by a sacred aura since ancient times. In these parts Ulysses met the sirens and had a temple erected to the goddess Minerva who had protected his journey.

How to get to Punta Campanella

The path to Punta Campanella, starts from Termini, the last location inhabited to the West of the Sorrento peninsula.
The path that leads to the tip is simple and flat, there are small vegetable gardens, olive groves and the sea without having to face large differences in height.

If you want to try something more demanding, when you arrive at the crossroads you can follow the signs that lead to the top of the '' Monte San Costanzo '', where there are the remains of an ancient hermitage, otherwise you can continue your walk to Punta di Punta Campanella where there are the remains of a ' Saracen tower' built in 1300 where once there was the sanctuary at the goddess Athena.
