Featuring a rock music concert combined with an exhibition ski race consisting of Olympic & World Cup Ski Stars who are invited to compete for the largest cash prize in ski racing. Held at the spectacular Paganella Ski Resort in the Italian Dolomites, the purpose of the 4th annual event on December 23, 2013 is to attract a worldwide audience to winter sports. The race format is Sprint Giant Slalom
complete with a heart-thumping jump; competitors race through elimination rounds in pursuit of the largest single cash prize in Ski Racing - €75,000. o The day begins with a morning Preliminary Round. Select athletes will compete for 5 spots in the next Round of 15. o The remaining 3 rounds will be covered Live on TV and begins with the Round of 15. 10 prequalified athletes & 5 athletes from the morning Preliminary Round will battle for the 10 fastest times. o Round of 10 continues the elimination as only the 5 fastest will advance to the Finals! o The Final Round of 5 consists of the remaining fastest athletes in electrifying action down to the last competitor and the last run of the day - Its “Winner Takes All” €75,000! The exciting ski racing is accompanied by music and fun provided by DJ Ivanix & Viva FM Radio. Midday SOUTH PUNK concert and the apres-ski party and rocking with Stodlgand performance beginning immediately following the race in the finish area. General Event Admission to the Alpine Rockfest is FREE. Lift tickets are required to ride the gondola and are free without skis or €10.00 with skis (free for skiers with a valid Italian FISI license). Currently broadcast as a 90min LIVE program on EuroSport, Rai Italy, Servus TV and other top networks as well as the 26min highlight show picked up on numerous additional networks. The event produces more than 1,700 hours of global televised coverage and over 1,100 hours of coverage in Europe alone.
