Montferrat ( in Italian, Monferrato) comprises roughly the modern provinces of Alessandria and Asti. Montferrat is one of the most important wine districts of Italy. It also has a strong literary and culinary tradition, so much so that on 22nd June 2014 Mont

ferrat was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The beautiful Alba is only 40 mins away. The centre of Turin is one hour away by car. Turin is rich of glamour and culture (its museums: Egyptian Museum, GAM, MAO, Mauto, Cinema Museum, the Savoy Gallery, Agnelli’s private collection...). In one hour by car one can reach the historical thermal baths of Aqui Terme, with its thermal treatments in sulphureous waters. In one hour and thirty minutes drive, one can reach the Ligurian Coast and Genova, or the lively centre of Milan.
