Every great day ends with a sunset and this is our sunset. ❤️

After over 9 years in Tuscany and 8 years owning and running Villa San Michele, we are now getting ready for an exciting new challenge and to do it we need a blank canvas.

With over 10.000 beds made, 20.000 breakfasts prepared, 50.000 cups of coffees served and thousands of corks popped....it is time for a change!
We have endless memories of our time in Tuscany, we have learnt to do things we never thought we could do and we have crossed paths with wonderful people from all over the world, who made this journey incredible.

A huge THANK YOU to our guests for choosing to stay with us and to our families & friends who supported us during these years.

We're still not sure where, but you can bet you'll find us somewhere interesting in the world, entertaining and always trying to deliver the best version of ourselves because after 8 years at VSM we can safely say that hospitality is where we belong. ❤️

🇬🇧 You know that if you don't hear from us for a while it's because we've been busy....which is always a very good sign! 🤗

Lots of delicious daily baking, tons of gardening (everything is so lush and in bloom!) and many lovely guests who visited us since our reopening back in April. Thank you!

Our yearly maintenance is fully underway and we are getting every day closer to our reopening! 🥳

At the same time our booking calendar is filling out nicely and we are very happy to see that plenty of new guests have chosen to stay with us for very long stays, which will give them plenty of opportunities to discover the region in depth (or relax more time by the pool😉).

🇬🇧 ️Probably most of you are currently finalizing their plans for the upcoming Christmas holiday but if you are like me always planning ahead and thinking about sunny and warm days, better start giving some thoughts to your next trip to Tuscany! 😁

Here is a quick recap of Villa San Michele and the services we offer:

✅ OUR BED AND BREAKFAST
In 2017 we fully renovated a XVII century old stone farmhouse and we created 5 rooms (all ensuite). One room on the ground floor with private terrace and 4 rooms on the 1st floor.
We have a large garden with plenty of seating areas, a lovely outdoor pool for the warmer months and a very large indoor lounge area to chill out during the cooler ones.

✅LOCATION
We are located in Vico d'Elsa, a hilltop hamlet less than 20 min drive to San Gimignano.
We are an excellent base to visit San Gimignano, an endless list of beautiful Chianti villages, Siena, Volterra, Florence and plenty more. We are also in a great spot to enjoy some hiking, cycling and many activities, including cooking classes and wine tastings of course! 🍷
Foodwise, there is a lovely Tuscan osteria just 5 min walking from our BnB and many more restaurants are located within a short drive.

✅ BREAKFAST
Every morning we serve our homemade 3-course breakfast with plenty of sweet and savoury items to make sure you start your day off on the right foot. Breakfast is served directly at your table on our outdoor terrace or in our indoor dining area, in case of cooler weather.
Let us know in advance any food allergy/intolerance in order to prepare the most suitable breakfast during your stay.

✅ PLANNING YOUR STAY
To help our guests planning their stay with us, you will receive a 60 pages Villa San Michele's Insider E-Book (available in several languages) with lots of suggestions, tips and itinerary ideas to make the most of our area. An extensive part is dedicated to wineries and restaurants, and it is constantly updated.
On top of that, we will always be around to assist you once you are here.

🇬🇧 One of the highlights of this month has been our olive harvest, which luckily was carried out during some glorious sunny and warm days.
We only have a few trees in Villa San Michele's garden but they are well looked after and once again we managed to pick a pretty decent amount of olives: 245 kg!

Our guests staying with us in 2025 will enjoy our extra virgin olive oil during breakfast. In the meantime, we are making the most of it: drizzling it over salads, soups (more appropriate now that winter comes) and of course soaking our homemade bread in it! 😋

Sharing some pictures of our harvest with this year's team (my mum and dad 🥰), including the reward lunch in a great osteria with stunning views, conveniently located next to the mill!

🇬🇧 Where has time gone? It literally seems yesterday that we were enduring the hot Tuscan summer at the peak of our season and here we are...just a month before Christmas!😮

November has been an amazing month: we had overall excellent weather, a very successful olive harvest and some loving guests to properly close our 2024 season! 😍

This is a good opportunity to say THANK YOU to all our guests who have chosen us for the first time in 2024 and to those who came back to Villa San Michele for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th time (some may even take residency here soon! 😆).

We are now back from a short but very much needed break and we are getting ready to prepare our new season! 💥

Our 2025 bookings are not opened yet but we are already receiving requests and logging them according to the email date, so if you have some dates (and your preferred room) in mind, do not hesitate to get in touch soon ([email protected]).

🇮🇹 Dove sono finiti gli ultimi mesi? Sembra ieri che stavamo boccheggiando nella caldissima estate toscana nel pieno della stagione lavorativa e ora siamo già a un mese esatto dal Natale! 😮

Novembre non è ancora finito ma è stato decisamente un ottimo mese: tempo per lo più bellissimo, un'ottima raccolta di olive e degli ospiti meravigliosi per concludere la stagione 2024! 🥰

Cogliamo l'occasione per ringraziare davvero tutti gli ospiti che ci hanno scelto in questi ultimi mesi, chi per la prima volta e chi invece è tornato a Villa San Michele per la seconda, terza, quarta volta (e per chi ormai potrebbe quasi prendere la residenza! 😆)

Siamo appena tornati da una breve pausa, ricaricati per iniziare a preparare la nuova stagione! 💥

We are finally getting a hint of summer @ Villa San Michele: 29 degrees, glorious sunshine and the water of our pool is steadily warming up 💦💦💦 Time for a splash!
