ts of pastimes and lifestyles. Away from the long hot summer days and nights on the beaches and the crystal clear waters, Cala Gonone is a front runner in plenty of outdour adventure. Rock climbing, diving, mountain biking, road cycling, triathlon training, swimming, kayaking (river and sea), canyonning, paragliding, walking and trekking,bungee jumping. If you search up in the "notes" section, next to the "likes" and "photo's" boxes, then you will find more info relating to your desired holiday experience. The apartment is a fully furnished self catering apartment for up to 5 people. It comprises of two bedrooms, a large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, bathroom with shower, and balconies to THREE sides, adding space to the apartment and giving the fantastic panoramic views of the sea and the mountain crags. The bathroom is fully tiled and of a generous size, with a large shower unit, toilet, bidet and basin area with a large mirror above. The bathroom also houses the washing machine which is where they have them in Italy. The living room area, with kitchen and dining, opens out onto the side and rear balconies, bringing in the sea and mountains into your holiday home with the main side door, rear French doors and separate window. The kitchen has everything that you could need, with plenty of pots, pans, plates, dishes, cutlery etc. Tall integrated fridge/freezer, electric oven and gas hob, extractor fan, complemented with cupboard units below and wall units above. The lounge has two settees for relaxation and large wall cupboards and units with television, satellite and music centre, bringing the room together nicely. All the windows and doors are fitted with security, black out shutter blinds and the main entrance door has high spec security built in. Not that you need it here. The entrance to the apartment is up a single flight granite staircase from the road where there is a lockable gate and intercom system.

CENTRAL SARDINIA

There is so much to say about this area of Sardinia. We consider it a real playground for lovers of moving through beautiful mountain scenery and pristine countryside on two wheels, and on roads and trails of the highest quality. Potentially, this area should be crowded with cyclists. But it isn’t.
Why? Because it’s scantly populated without many tourist facilities. So it doesn’t draw the masses of biking enthusiasts that, for instance, the coastline does.

So, what can you find here? Everything road and mountain bikers could want.

For the road bike cyclists:

1. Ascents and descents as in the Dolomites, with perfect asphalt.

2. Small mountain villages where you can stop for the classic cappuccino break.

3. Some of the very best hospitality in the world.

4. A virtual absence of traffic.

For mountain bikers:

1. Biking in open spaces in complete freedom.

2. A wide variety of landscapes changing every kilometer, offering incredible variation.

There is still an absence of trails for mountain biking. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully plan your routes, know how to 'surf' maps or use a GPS. Or, obviously, rely on guides from SardiniaCycling. We have paper maps of this area.
