Il mare è ancora caldo, le spiagge tornano a respirare, i sentieri si aprono a chi ama camminare senza fretta e il tempo sembra concedere un po’ più spazio a tutto. A Lacona ci piace pensare che sia proprio questo il passaggio più bello: quello verso settembre, quando il mare conserva ancora l’estate ma l’isola ritrova il suo ritmo più vero. Oggi è la Giornata del Faro e all'Isola d'Elba abbiamo una storia che merita di essere raccontata in modo diverso: quella di 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼. Se guardi verso il promontorio che chiude a sud il golfo di Porto Azzurro, lo vedi lì, integrato nella cinta muraria di Forte Longone. Raggiungerlo è una piccola avventura: ci si arriva in barca o percorrendo i sentieri meno battuti che salgono dal Lido. Per noi che amiamo l'Elba selvaggia, Faro Focardo è il simbolo di una navigazione sicura, ma anche il punto di partenza per andare a scovare calette nascoste e silenziose subito sotto le sue mura.

Today is National Lighthouse Day, and on Elba Island we have a story that deserves to be told in a different way: the story of 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼. If you look toward the promontory that closes the Gulf of Porto Azzurro to the south, you'll see it right there, built into the walls of Forte Longone. You can only admire it from the sea by boat, or by discovering the less-traveled coastal trails climbing up from Lido.
For those of us who love wild Elba, Faro Focardo is a symbol of safe navigation, but also the starting point for uncovering hidden, quiet little coves right beneath its walls.

Agosto per molti è sinonimo di vacanza, ma si sa, gli imprevisti capitano e c'è chi, per un motivo o per l'altro, all'ultimo secondo deve rinunciare al proprio soggiorno.
