Castello di Vezio.
Abbastanza vicino al Maso da diventare una perfetta deviazione di giornata. Abbastanza sorprendente da sembrare altrove.
Un castello millenario sopra Varenna, una torre da cui il lago si apre in ogni direzione e misteriosi fantasmi bianchi che abitano i giardini.
Consiglio dello Zambo: salire fino alla torre, senza ignorare chi si incontra lungo il cammino. Non tutti gli abitanti del castello sono in carne e ossa.

Vezio Castle.
Close enough to the Maso to make for a perfect day trip. Surprising enough to feel like you’re somewhere else entirely.
A thousand-year-old castle overlooking Varenna, a tower from which the lake stretches out in every direction, and mysterious white ghosts that haunt the gardens.
Zambo’s Tip: Climb up to the tower, but don’t ignore anyone you meet along the way. Not all the castle’s inhabitants are made of flesh and blood.

Ma farlo senza sconosciuti intorno è decisamente meglio.

Monte Legnoncino.
Abbastanza vicino al Maso per diventare una perfetta idea di giornata.
Abbastanza in alto da far sembrare tutto il resto molto lontano.
Un sentiero accessibile, panorami aperti sul Lago di Como e sulle montagne, il silenzio giusto per rallentare davvero.
Consiglio dello Zambo: scarpe comode, passo sicuro e la voglia di scoprire quanta bellezza c’è intorno al Maso.

High enough to make everything else seem far away.
An accessible trail, sweeping views of Lake Como and the mountains, and just the right amount of silence to truly slow down.

Mirtilli.
Dolci, piccoli, selvatici, poco inclini a farsi trovare (un po’ come i posti migliori).

Al Maso diventano confetture, succhi e piccoli piaceri da ritrovare a tavola.
Prima, però, bisogna andarli a cercare.
