The timeless charm of a historic country estate nestled in the Chianti hills, just 8 km from Siena. Villa Catignano was once the country residence of the noble Sergardi family, whose heritage lives on through generations.
The Villa was built at the end of the 17th century by an ancestor of the current proprietors, Quinto Settano, the pseudonym of Monsignor Lodovico Sergardi, a writer and lover of the arts. The small village already existed in the 16th century under the name “Clatinianum”
Once the living rooms of Villa Catignano, these spaces still preserve their 17th-century frescoes, featuring delicate landscapes, botanical motifs and soft colours.
With its Italian garden adorned with statues of the Four Seasons and its Baroque-style chapel, the villa embodies the timeless elegance and authentic charm of Tuscany.
