Our restaurant, Le Palme, is in the first Falstaff Restaurant Guide Italia 2027.

The guide looks at the service as well as the kitchen. We are proud of the care our team brings to every table: discreet, multilingual, attentive to each guest's needs.

At La Villa del Re, dinner at Le Palme, among the palms and facing the sea of Costa Rei, is where it shows most clearly. Congratulations to Chef Giovanni De Candido and the Le Palme team.

Da noi non si è mai clienti. Si è ospiti.

È una differenza che non sta in nessun regolamento: la fanno le persone. Chi non vi ha lasciato versare l'acqua nemmeno una volta. Chi ha sistemato la camera due volte al giorno senza farsi notare. Chi vi ha trovato un posto dove aspettare, quando siete arrivati troppo presto.

Non sono tutti in queste foto, ma ci sono tutti.
Oggi chiudiamo. Grazie a loro, grazie a voi: ci vediamo nel 2027.

It isn't a difference you can put in a rulebook: it is made by people. The ones who never once let you pour your own water. The ones who put the room back in order twice a day without being noticed. The ones who found you somewhere to wait when you arrived too early.

Everything here closes on the 18th of October. The w**e carries on.

Behind the glass there are more than 1,300 labels, Sardinian, Italian and from further afield, with vintages going back to 1937, kept at a steady temperature all year round. Through the winter they do the only thing they have ever done, which is wait, while the rest of the hotel sleeps.

Six glasses at a time, our head sommelier takes guests through them. Until the 18th, there is still someone here to open the bottles.

Prima di essere uno dei tratti di costa più quieti della Sardegna, Castiadas era una palude.

Nell'agosto del 1875 sbarcarono a Cala Sinzias trenta detenuti con i loro agenti di custodia: da lì nacque la colonia penale che per decenni bonificò questa terra a mano. Al posto dell'acqua ferma arrivarono vigneti, uliveti, frutteti, campi di cereali. La colonia chiuse nel 1956 e nei suoi edifici oggi c'è il museo del territorio.

Guardare questo verde con il cielo basso di ottobre dice poco di com'era prima. La quiete di questa costa non è un dato naturale: è il risultato di un lavoro paziente, stagione dopo stagione.

È la Sardegna che ci piace raccontare, quella che ha una storia sotto i piedi.
Chiudiamo la stagione il 18 ottobre.

The hardest thing to photograph here is the quiet.

An evening in October: two glasses, a table laid on the grass, lanterns, and a stretch of garden where nothing is competing for your attention. Adults only is not a restriction we apply, it is what makes an evening sound like this. Unhurried, low, and entirely yours.

Twelve evenings left of it this year. We close on the 18th of October.

Nessuna spa da prenotare, nessun turno, nessuno intorno.

Solo una vasca idromassaggio tutta vostra, il mare davanti, e l'acqua che si muove appena. La accendete quando volete e la lasciate andare finché vi va... a settembre, con la luce che cala prima e la spiaggia già vuota, è ancora meglio.

Non tutte le stanze ne hanno una.
Chi ce l'ha, lo sa già.

In September the light gives up earlier, and takes its time about it.

Lower, warmer, longer across the water. The kind of hour that asks you to stop whatever you were doing and just watch it go. A glass helps. Company is optional.

The days get shorter here. The evenings get better.

Il dolce, qui, arriva con il fuoco.

Niente carrello silenzioso: l'ultima portata si accende al tavolo, davanti a voi, in un gesto che in pochi sanno ancora fare. Trenta secondi di fiamma, e la sera finisce più dolce di com'era cominciata.

Il dolce non si serve. Si accende.

La pietra è del posto, e si vede: grezza, calda, messa a mano.

Poi, contro quel muro, una rosa in un vaso. Niente qui è nuovo per scelta, niente è lasciato al caso: il rustico e la cura, nello stesso sguardo.

Non è pensato per stupire. È pensato per appartenere.

There's an hour here that belongs to almost no one.

Before the loungers fill, before the first voices, before the day asks anything of you. Just the light coming up and a silence you don't stumble on by accident at home. You only have to be awake for it.

Set an alarm, once. It's the one morning worth losing the sleep over.
