Casa Pietraia is a farmhouse specialized in the production of extra virgin olive oil. Located in the heart of Chianti, on the hill that housed the ancient city of Semifonte and watching the entire Val d'Elsa, offers its guests an apartment of 170 sqm on the first floor of the farmhouse, equipped with all comforts and a swimming pool. Come and relax in our garden immersed in the atmosphere, in the peace and tranquility of the Tuscan countryside and enjoy a breath-taking panorama, spectacular sunsets, scents and sounds of nature around you.

A tribute to an artist and a friend.

Walter Sarfatti was a master printmaker, and one of the threads in the delicate web of people that holds us together, at Casa Pietraia and across our hills. We are honoured to share this last glimpse of his work. We like to think that his journey into art and inspiration has not ended, only moved somewhere else.

His life was a search for the beauty that lies beyond the postcard.

This is Beyond the Postcard — and this is Franco.
Hand-stitched leather. Grosgrain woven by a Florentine mill that’s been running for over a century. An olive branch tucked inside each bag to hold its form — because even the details have a reason.
