Well, the surveyor tells us that we must reinforce the foundations of the property in Cutrofiano before we can continue with the works, so we are on hold now while we find a building contractor who can do that piece of work. I am sure we will have more updates soon.

Meanwhile, we have started to work on the property in Collepasso. We are planning to have at least 3 rooms ready to offer on a B&B basis from June. Special prices for friends if you want to book your Summer holiday in Salento. I will post some photos as we continue to get the place ready.

The first property we are renovating is a studio in Cutrofiano. Cutrofiano is a small town in Salento, halfway between the Adriatic and Ionian coasts; either coast can be reached by car in about 30 minutes.

Today we completed the digging to give the studio the height we need to build a mezzanine, which will become the bedroom. We have also removed all the plaster from the ceiling to expose the original stone, dating back probably around 100 years - beautiful.
