La Canonica is an attractive property at the bottom of the town of Cortona which is only four kilometres away. As its name suggests, it is the presbytery (“canonica”) of a small 11th century church that still forms the back part of the house. Restoration has given the house a particular charm showing the owners’ taste and cosmopolitan personality, easily spotted from the many international books which can be found in the house. Outside, a romantic pergola embraced by wistaria leads you to the pool. The whole property is fenced in and the presence of trees helps to ensure the clients’ privacy.
