"Cascina Cornella” is a farmstead dating back to the xx century : it was used both as a house and a stable, since it stands along one of the old paths which connected Cremeno to Culmine San Pietro before the provincial road (SP 64 - strada provinciale no. 64) was built. It has been recently refurbished and restored, adding value to the building and to the whole area, which -otherwise- would risk passing unnoticed. THE ROOMS
Two rooms with an independent entrance are waiting for you on the ground floor: they are the perfect place if you want to get far from the frenzy and the noises of cities and if you want to relax. They are both furnished with a double bed, they have a bathroom w/shower: they are small, but cosy. Both rooms overlook the valley: in front of them, you can enjoy the groves of Maggio (the Pregondo area) and, in the distance, the Ponte della Vittoria, an impressive XIX century bridge, with the majestic Grigna mountain range in the background. Peace and quiet offer you perfect serendipity! There are no TV sets in the rooms - it was a deliberate choice- but, in any case, we offer you the opportunity to stay "tuned" to the world through a wifi connection. Available facilities: wifi connection (free), laundry (€ 5,00), use of a private library, with books on local customs and traditions (free). CASCINA CORNELLA FARM
Cascina Cornella B&B is situated on a farm, where we sell eggs and poultry, firewood (bookings start from next winter), vegetables from our vegetable gardens and glasshouses (available from next July, our produce can be booked and sold difectly on the farm). HOW TO GET THERE
From Milano/Lecco: once you reach Colle di Balisio, follow the directions on SP 64 towards Cremeno/Barzio/Vedeseta. Reach Ponte della Vittoria: on the first corner, turn right and take the first turning on the right (via G. Pascoli). After 1/2 mile, driving down towards the valley bottom, you will find Cascina Cornella on your right. From Bellano/Sondrio/Valtellina: drive through Valsassina as far as Barzio, without getting into the town centre. Drive along SP64. When you reach Cremeno, follow the directions towards Moggio/Culmine San Pietro/Vedeseta and at the beginning of the road take the first turning on the right (via G. FEES
B&B: € 35 per person per night. The double-bed room can be used by only one person : € 45 per night.
