Absolutely looking forward to the spring now..! The work in the small vineyard, removing last seasons branches and preparing for the 2026 Dolcetto wine. It gives joy and anticipation. We are looking forward to tasting the outcome from 2025’s work and to start our morning routine having a cup of coffee outside in the morning. Still there is snow, but soon…

The bookings for 2026 looks good and we are looking forward to starting the season again with new guests and the ones that come back year after year. We feel very lucky!

Again we went on a hike in the mountains. What colors from the Azaleas!🌺 Also so many other alpine flowers. This time we walked to Rifugio Havis De Giorgio Mondovì. Light walk for everyone.. Nice temperature at 22-23 degrees while 29 by the pool..

We have been on vacation. Driving our Fiat500 🚗 from Cascina Ferrarotti in Clavesana to Sicily!
A fantastic trip with a lot of nice stops on the way.

We had 14 days and we took the ferry back from Palermo to Genova. Highly recommended!

We are very lucky to be able to see some of the very famous places on the way outside high season. Viareggio, Positano, Pisa, Naples, Sorrento and in Sicily: Palermo, Cefalu, Taormina and Noto. Some stops were for us «been there, done that..» When there is a very high pressure on the places already in early April it is not where we would spend our time in the summer. 😅 But then we realize we are not all the same..

We found some places we loved and that we definitely would go back to… Castiglione Della pescaia in Tuscany, Sorrento near Naples and the Amalfi coast, and Pizzo in Calabria. And in Sicily we loved Cefalu’ and Taormina even both will be very different places in high season. On this trip, of course, we missed a lot of fantastic places. But we hope we can do this kind of holiday also some time in the future. Perhaps other side..??

Now it is good to be back home and prepare for a new season at Cascina Ferrarotti.

Piemonte!

So beautiful and so easy to combine total relaxation and hiking in the mountains and cycling. Explore small villages, food, wine.. You decide.

June.. The lavender fields in Sale San Giovanni is absolutely stunning. The weather is nice, and it is a good time to see Piemonte. Try the good food and wines..

Vi har fått en kansellering i juli. Fra 20 til 28 juli er vår største leilighet, Frairot ledig. Første mann til mølla!

Piemonte er et vakkert område å utforske. Det finnes fine turområder i de maritime alpene mot Frankrike, eller rusleturer i vinmarkene. Små landsbyer finnes i nærheten og middelhavet er en times biltur unna. Vårt hus ligger en times biltur eller togtur til Torino. Kjente vinområder som Dogliani, Barolo og Barbaresco er ikke langt unna. Området er perfekt for sykling og vår samarbeidspartner i den nærmeste byen kan levere el-sykler på døren.

The last three years we have worked on several projects to develop our property - both for ourselves and our guests. First the pool and the garden and then the last project, additional insulation of the roof and new windows / doors in the whole house. This was finished in October last year. Together
