DA DOMASO A LIVO

Questo percorso con splendide vedute sull'Alto Lario si sviluppa su mulattiere e sentieri attraversando paesini caratteristici che hanno conservato parte della loro struttura originaria.
Da Domaso (219 metri) la vecchia mulattiera ci porta a Pozzolo, piccola contrada circondata da terreni adibiti a viticultura.
In questo punto il panorama offre vedute sul Lago di Como e sul Monte Legnone. Salendo lungo il sentiero che conduce al "Sasso Pelo", si arriva a Naro (690 metri), altro punto panoramico.
Proseguendo si arriva a Livo (680 metri), antico borgo montano noto per la pastorizia e le coltivazioni. Da Livo si intraprende la via di ritorno. Attraversando le faggete è possibile vedere la "Linea Insubrica", una geosutura di 1000 km fra la placca europea e quella africana.
Quest'ultima si estende da ovest a est, dal Canavese alle Alpi Carniche, lungo la quale nel tempo si sono formate le diverse vallate come la Valtellina, la Val Camonica, la Val di Sole...
Il percorso conduce infine sulla mulattiera di Gaggio per rientrare poi a Domaso. Bellissima passeggiata non troppo impegnativa da fare da soli o in compagnia!

FROM DOMASO TO LIVO

This route with splendid views of the Upper Lake Como lights up on mule tracks and paths through characteristic villages that have preserved part of their original setting.
From Domaso (219 meters a.s.l.) the old mule-track leads us to Pozzolo, a small hamlet surrounded by vineyards.
At this point the panorama is amazing with views of the lake and Monte Legnone. Going up along the path that leads to the "Sasso Pelo Mount", you reach Naro (690 meters a.s.l.), another panoramic point. Continuing you arrive in Livo (680 meters a.s.l.), an ancient mountain village known for its pastoralism and agricolture. From Livo starts the way back.
Crossing the beech woods you can see the "Insubric Line", a 1000 km geosuture between the European and African plates.
The latter extends from west to east, from the Canavese to the Carnic Alps, along the road over time the various valleys have formed, such as the Valtellina, the Val Camonica, the Val di Sole ...
The route leads finally to the Gaggio mule track and then to Domaso. Beautiful walk not too challenging to do alone or with friends!
