In the context of a series of initiatives scheduled to celebrate and honour the scientific legacy of Professor Nichi D’Amico next year, we are organising a major pulsar conference

𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

The conference will coincide closely with the fifth anniversary of Professor D’Amico's passing, and mark fifteen years since the pulsar congress he organized on the island in 2005.

Reflecting Professor D’Amico’s wide-ranging interests and passionate advocacy for pulsar research, the conference will cover multiple facets of modern pulsar science. Topics will span observational and theoretical studies, from pulsar search techniques, pulsar timing and timing arrays, to advances in technology and future infrastructure plans. The agenda will also include discussions on transient phenomena, and activities promoting education and citizen science within the radio-time domain.

This is an early notification for interested parties to keep their calendars open for the conference in 2025. The conference website will be launched by the end of June 2024, with additional details and an early (non-binding) pre-registration form made available. The official announcement of final conference details will be released towards the end of November 2024, just before abstract submission opens.

Shame on those who did not raise their hands when asked, at the 2010 Pulsar conference in Sardinia, if they believed that the Lorimer Burst was real :)

It has been uncertain whether single, short, and bright bursts of radio emission that have been observed are celestial or terrestrial in origin. Thornton et al. (p. 53; see the Perspective by Cordes) report the detection of four nonrepeating radio transient events with millisecond duration in data f...

Come back to Sardinia in the first anniversary of the Pulsar Conference 2010 !! 10-15 October 2011, HTRA SCHOOL!!!

The aim of the school is to give advanced courses in the scientific objectives of HTRA as well as the techniques used to take and reduce HTRA observations, from radio to gamma-rays. The school program also includes a one-two day practical session on the analysis of multi-wavelength HTRA data
