The best start of the day is a sunrise ! Lots of people stay two or three weeks and take advantage of our ‘last-night-tent-service’. We set up the tent with comfy beds, you bring the sheets and pack the day before to start your trip early after enjoying the sunrise. We've already got many bookings for summer 2026, and can’t wait. Trap in het oude centrum van Perugia 🥰 Het oude centrum van Perugia, hoofdstad van Umbrië, ligt prachtig op een heuvel tussen Rome en Florence. Het middeleeuwse hart bruist met karakteristieke trappen, stegen en bogen. La Luna
de vraag die ik me blijf stellen

met mijn blik gericht
op de gloeiende horizon
van geel gemaaien sporen
tussen olijfgroene coulissen

de hemel in knalblauw

de avond eerder het wolkendek
nog beschilderd
zoals de kerken in Rome

waar de komende nacht
de sterrenzee
een nieuw geschenk
van onze doden is

de zichtbare percentages
die mijn kuiten voelden
toen de salamandertjes
wegschooten onder mijn
harkende Asics

boven deze intense rust
zonder stilte
hangt die ene vraag…

wanneer gaan de krekels slapen?

je hoort ze wel, maar ziet ze niet
dromen ze
hebben ze een schema
van waak-wacht
moeten ze de ploegendienst in
leggen ze het hoofd
ooit op het kussen

dat zou ik ze willen vragen
maar ja, kom er maar eens tussen

with my gaze fixed
on the glowing horizon
of yellow-mown tracks
between olive-green wings

the sky in bright blue

the evening before, the cloud cover
still painted
like the churches in Rome

where the coming night
the sea of stars
will be a new gift
from our dead

the visible percentages
that my calves felt
when the little salamanders
darted away beneath my
raking Asics

above this intense peace
without silence
hangs that one question…

when do the crickets go to sleep?

you hear them, but don’t see them
do they dream
do they follow a schedule
of wake-shift
do they have to work in shifts
do they ever lay their heads
on a pillow

that’s what I’d like to ask them
but yeah, try getting a word in
