Our Story

B&B Villa le Ortensie is a charming bed and breakfast located on Lake Como, between Como and Bellagio. Its tranquil position above the lake provides a peaceful retreat in which to relax with spectacular views of the lake and mountains. The villa, built at the beginning of 1900’s, is situated on the outskirts of a small mountain village overlooking the lake.

You can live life as a local Italian; we have 3 restaurants, a bar and a grocery store in the village. Our location gives you an ideal base to explore the tourist delights of Lake Como, then retreat, unwind and relax away from the crowds. Enjoy drinks and a light meal on our terrace as the twinkling lights of the mountain-side villages opposite light up at sun down.

We offer something special on Lake Como; a beautiful location, with great food and friendly staff who give you a warmhearted welcome and aim to ensure your stay on Lake Como is everything you’d hoped for.
