This page collects photos and stories of the day trips to Tuscan and Ligurian towns and cities, Cinque Terre and Tuscan beaches 30-50 minutes away from Casa Tre Angeli. There are visits to the Carrara marble quarries of Michaelangelo, walks in the hills and visits to refuges with tiny restaurants in the Apuane, some great restaurants with panoramic views, or a particular menu or a secret

museum, the river swimming below the house or wild porcini and fruit collecting. You can see olive groves and vineyards, harvested and pressed nearby. Bees kept near the village make fabulous Lunigiana honey from the chestnut and acacia tree blossom in the valley. The town of Fivizzano 20 minute countryside walk through the fields and across the fabled “Napoleonic” bridge (or 4 mins in the car) has lots to see and do. All are a stone throw or quick drive from Casa Tre Angeli: a house for 10 with a pool and fruit garden in the quiet village of Pognana in North Tuscany. A beautiful time at Cerrato Larghi, 30 minutes drive and what an amazing place for winter and summer sports, walks, food, and of course some spectacular views from the summit.

Well and truly worth a visit.
