In un palazzo storico del 1500, dove un tempo c’era il laboratorio di un artigiano fiorentino, sono stati ricavati lussuosi appartamenti nei quali gli elementi antichi – affreschi, travi in legno, pavimenti in cotto – si fondono con arredi contemporanei, realizzati in esclusiva da Cafissi 1948. Sono appartamenti tutti diversi per dimensioni e stile, sia per coppie che famiglie, completamente attrezzati e che possono ospitare fino a 10 persone. A piedi nelle vicinanze potete raggiungere Palazzo Pitti, la Galleria degli Uffizi, il Duomo di Firenze e tutte le attrazioni della città.

"This place was an absolute gem and even more gorgeous than the photos. The high ceilings, tall windows, beautiful furniture, and character of this 500-year-old building make you feel like you’re experiencing a little piece of Florence’s history, while still having every modern comfort.

It was also unbelievably clean and much bigger than we expected. The layout almost feels like two apartments in one, with two kitchens, two dishwashers, and two sets of washers and dryers, making it perfect for two or even three families.

And the location could not be better! We walked everywhere, yet the neighborhood felt wonderfully local rather than touristy, with fantastic restaurants, cafés, and bars right outside.

With three kids under 11, being able to come back, rest, and head right out again was priceless.

Staying here genuinely made our Florence experience better. One of our favorite Airbnb stays ever!"

We told you! There’s so much to do in Florence this weekend. Check out our latest post again if you’re wondering what’s on!

In the meantime, enjoy a few shots from the beautiful new exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi, Broken: The Power of the Fragment (pics 1 and 6), the crowds queuing at the Uffizi (make the most of the special €1 evening admission!), the garden hosting the artisan market, and the pumpkin patch in Valdarno, where you can decorate your own Halloween pumpkin.

And don’t forget all the w**e-related events happening this weekend! 🍷

Or.. you can simply do nothing and enjoy the peace and quiet of our apartments in the heart of Florence, just steps away from Ponte Vecchio.

P.S. The weather is wonderful: a little chilly in the mornings and evenings, but warm enough for short sleeves at lunchtime.

September is truly a fantastic month to visit Florence and Tuscany. Not only because of the wonderful weather (yes, it might rain sometimes, but the sun always comes back!), but also because there are so many events happening.

On the last weekend of September, you can choose from:

The Florence International Antiques Fair, held at Palazzo Corsini, just a 5-minute walk from us, where masterpieces of Italian art are displayed and available for purchase.

European Heritage Days, with special evening openings at museums and cultural sites.

Green Florence, transforming Piazza Santa Croce into a huge green lawn right in the heart of the city.

The Dante Festival, celebrating Florence’s most famous poet.

A high-quality Italian crafts market at Convitto della Calza, only a 10-minute walk away. Inside a beautiful historic cloister, you can shop for unique Italian handmade objects, accessories and clothing. .mente_events

Corri la Vita, a charity run and walk supporting the fight against breast cancer. You don’t even have to run: with a €10 donation, you can take part, receive a Ferragamo-designed T-shirt and get free admission to more than 50 museums and cultural sites.

But don’t forget: September is also harvest season! 🍇

Head out of Florence and explore the Chianti countryside.

Discover the charming village of Montefioralle during an event dedicated to Chianti Classico, or visit Vignamaggio where you’ll find activities for children, vineyard picnics, brunches and, of course, w**e tastings.

You can also experience the traditional Festa dell’Uva in Impruneta, with its spectacular parade of decorated floats, or head towards Rufina for Bacco Artigiano, another celebration of Tuscan w**e and traditions.

Why is September one of the best months to visit Florence?

Here are a few reasons:

The days are warm and pleasant, but never too hot.

You’ll find plenty of markets in Florence’s beautiful squares: antique markets in Piazza Savonarola and Piazza Indipendenza, artisanal market at Convitto della Calza, independent designers in Piazza dei Ciompi, plants and flowers at Manifattura Tabacchi, and a traditional bread market in Piazza Santissima Annunziata.

September is also packed with events all around the city.

Here are just a few:

Firenze Jazz Festival – enjoy live music in unusual and unexpected locations around Florence.

Rificolona – a beloved Florentine tradition, with children parading through the streets carrying colorful paper lanterns.

Artigianato e Palazzo at Giardino Corsini – a rare opportunity to visit a beautiful private garden while discovering artisans, workshops and food.

☀️August can be very hot in Florence, but if you’ve chosen to spend a few days here, don’t worry—we have plenty of tips to help you enjoy the city.

Start your day early, when the streets are quieter and temperatures are pleasant. During the hottest hours, relax in one of our cool, air-conditioned apartments before heading out again in the evening.

At sunset, enjoy an aperitivo with a view. Take bus 12 to Piazzale Michelangelo for Florence’s iconic skyline, or bus 7 to Fiesole and discover the new overlooking an authentic Roman Theatre from the 1st century BC.

As the sun goes down, stroll through the historic center. Summer evenings are magical, with street musicians often performing in the city’s beautiful squares.

If you’d like to stay cool during the day, here are a few ideas:
☀️Visit a museum. Florence has much more to offer than the Uffizi and the Accademia. If you’ve already seen the classics, discover one of its hidden gems. On Sunday, August 2, Palazzo Davanzati, a beautifully preserved medieval tower house, offers free admission.
☀️See an exhibition. Don’t miss the acclaimed Rothko exhibition , open for just a few more days.
☀️Go rafting on the Arno. Paddle beneath Ponte Vecchio for one of Florence’s most refreshing experiences
☀️Go shopping. Via Tornabuoni, Via Calzaiuoli, Borgo San Jacopo, and Via della Vigna Nuova are all nearby and perfect for shopping—especially during the summer sales.
🍷Take a Chianti day trip. Many local tours combine the Tuscan countryside with w**e tastings.
☀️Spend the day by the pool. Florence has several excellent pools and wellness centers. Just ask us for our recommendations.
☀️Watch a movie. In Piazza Strozzi, a former cinema now home to a beautiful bookstore often screens films in their original language.
