There was this old medieval building, dating back to the 13th century, called Spedale del Bigallo, offering hospitality and shelter for travelers and pilgrims hiking between Florence

and Rome. Today this ancient building is a renovated hostel offering travellers the same shelter as once before and modern hospitality, all the while maintaining its original medieval atmosphere. At our Bigallo Hostel you will have the experience of the natural context, history and traditions of the surrounding hills of southern Florence, relishing in the peace and quiet of the olive trees while taking in a picturesque and unique view of the Renaissance city. Its historical garden and halls, as well as the panoramic terrace are an ideal location for meetings, workshops and other activities. It is a place to meet new friends and get to know local people, taking part in the events and the cultural and social activities that we organize.

Per la rassegna Bigallo Unplugged, l’Antico Spedale del Bigallo ospita il prossimo giovedí 5 giugno , cantautrice e performer australiana con base a Roma. Dopo aver calcato palchi tra Australia, Inghilterra e Italia, Vanessa porta a Firenze il suo progetto in solo, intimo e diretto, costruito attorno alla voce e alla chitarra.

🎶 Nei suoi live, Vanessa intreccia atmosfere folk, soul e indie con testi delicati e sinceri, creando uno spazio di ascolto autentico e profondo. Il suo stile sobrio e sensibile dialoga perfettamente con l'armonia e la bellezza che scoprirete svelarsi dalla terrazza del Bigallo alla luce del tramonto.

🍷 Prima del concerto, sarà possibile gustare un ricco apericena, che vi inviterá a rallentare e a lasciarvi accompagnare dalla musica e dall’atmosfera.

🎶 This week at Bigallo Unplugged, the Antico Spedale del Bigallo welcomes Gabriele Catoni – Tuscan singer-songwriter and frontman of the metal band Let Them Fall, with whom he toured extensively across Italy and Europe.

In his solo project, Gabriele reinterprets his rock background through an acoustic lens, blending folk, pop, and blues in a raw, stripped-down performance of voice and guitar.

🌇 Before the concert, enjoy a buffet-style apericena with a view of Florence, in a historic setting that invites you to slow down and soak in the music and the moment.
