End of August. Most of the season is behind us, and we can already feel that sense of nostalgia that comes when good things are naturally drawing to an end.
We get ready to welcome September, one of our favorite months. A lucky few will be invited at dawn for the vendemmia, the grape harvest that has already begun. We’ll probably find the time to meet some friends in a vineyard, now that the temperatures are cooling down, and share a glass of wine. There will be a toast to all the hard work, and maybe a few funny stories about the past months on the island.

Every year, friendships are made, some love stories begin, and a little sense of adventure finds its way into our summer. The season never follows the same script. It is, however, an intense human experience — one that leaves us with memories we carrie with us.

A toast to summer, to holidays well spent, and to happy guests!

It’s early morning. Time for your first cup of coffee.
You step out onto the terrace and grab a slice of cake, still warm from the oven. Or you take your time at the yogurt bar, adding a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
You’re staying for three days, so you think you might save the scrambled eggs for tomorrow.
Then another cup of coffee, a quiet gaze out at the Mediterranean stretching before you.
And somehow, you just know it’s going to be a good morning.

As a hotelier you can develop the best design in the world, but hospitality is about how people make you feel.

La Guardia Team not only works hard, but most importantly they deeply care about what they do. And they are kind. Not because it’s required for the job but because they really are very nice human beings.

In the words of one of our guests today “they are professional, kind, genuinely accomodating and full of great recommendations. The staff made all the difference and elevated our entire stay”.

We could not agree more.

Fine dining at La Guardia is built on simple things done well.

A young team with a passion for cooking. Wild herbs and edible flowers gathered across the island. Vegetables picked fresh from our garden. Long hours in the kitchen, tasting, refining, and beginning again when needed. A shared belief that every dish can always be just a little better.

The news is out: fine dining is now an exciting new option in Giglio and the place to find it is La Guardia terrace.

As you know, we adore working with young talents and when chef Niccolo Anello introduced himself, we knew he was the right person for the job.
He is surprisingly young but has an impressive experience in Michelin star restaurants, and the right attitude to succeed. His last position was with his mentor, Michelin Star Chef Alessandro Rossi, who believed Niccolo’ was ready to start to write his own story as chef of La Guardia, and we could not agree more.

An equally young and passionate brigade supports him in this new challenge. The dishes are distinctive, beautifully presented and delicious. We can host only a few lucky guests every evening, remember to book in advance.
