Summer 2024 - it's a wrap...

Summer in the Monferrato has come to an end, giving way to the vibrant colours and crisp air of autumn. The vineyards are buzzing with the excitement of the w**e harvest, a tradition deeply rooted in the region's culture. Alongside, the renowned season for white truffles has begun, drawing gourmets and chefs eager for the prized delicacy. As the hills turn golden and the mornings grow cooler, Piemonte settles into this rich, flavourful season, celebrating its bounty from vine to forest, with both the harvest and truffles marking the true arrival of autumn.

September is a magical month for the Monferrato. It is also the month of the famous Palio di Asti. For almost 1000 years now in the center of the city of Asti, in September the oldest and most historic horse race of Italy is run. Normally the Piazza Alfieri is where we park our car when visiting Asti. 😁
