Lovely room with own bathroom in family house, immersed in countryside opposite a 10th century fortified village. The room opens out into gardens where deer roam and birds sing. Fifteen minute walk through the woods to Greve in Chianti. The house - this is an oldish (about 150 years) farmhouse that we renovated ourselves over quite a few years, so it's Comfy and Rustic rather than House and Garden. The whole house is heated with a wood burning stove which makes it very warm and cosy with a fine layer of dust over everything.......
The room is wee but lovely. Opens out onto its own little terrace in the garden. Clean, comfortable, towels provided. Fridge, electric kettle, cups, plates etc. all there. Anything else you need just ask. There is a MOSQUITO NET too - this is an important feature, not to be sneezed at. In the summer the house has sun all day from dawn until about 4pm. From then on you have to go up into our olive grove above the house to get the rays. The best thing about our house are the silence and the incredible bird song of an evening. Also the stars at night. The trees. The deer. The garden is pretty nice too, although a little bit wild.
