The garden has gifted us its fruits and its slow, gentle breath,
the restaurant has turned them into flavors that tell the story of the island, the CAFFETTERIA DEL MONASTERO has welcomed those seeking a quiet pause, the .castelloaragonese has kept memories and little traces of our passage

Art, in its most silent and surprising forms, has inhabited every corner, speaking with the stones, with the sea, with those who knew how to see

Thanks to everyone who journeyed through this time with us,
bringing life into the ancient walls of the .castelloaragonese

Since 1912, the Mattera family has breathed new life into the Aragonese Castle of Ischia, transforming it from forgotten ruins into a place of culture and beauty. Today, and , the third generation of owners, continue with passion and dedication the work begun by their grandfather, Nicola Ernesto, preserving this treasure for future generations.

Within walls that once housed a convent, the .castelloaragonese now welcomes travelers and art lovers, offering a unique experience suspended between history, nature, and culture.
