HOW TO GET HERE

From Train station “La Spezia Centrale”: after passing the traffic cirlce, take “via del Prione”, the main pedestrian street and walk until the end, where it crosses “Vi

a Chiodo”. Turn left and walk till the next block: Via Daniele Manin; we are at number 8, just beside the pharmacy. By car:
From Highway A15: take the exit “La Spezia”, then take Via Giosuè Carducci and onceit crosses “Viale Italia” turn left. Go straight for a couple of km and turn right in “Via Alessandro Malaspina”, then right again in “Via Domenico Chiodo”. Destination is after 250 m on left side in a pedestrian street( via Daniele Manin). we are at number 8, just beside the pharmacy.

"THE LAST SUPPER".. Before one of our lovely volunteers, aganca, left the hostel family.

We're really happy when the guests say that our staff is the best value for the hostel, as we truly believe they can make the difference in the customer experience.

PORTOVENERE doesn't need any filter.
Nestled between La Spezia and Cinque Terre, it has the best sunset you could ask for.
It's reputation is growing quickly, but still not as inflated as the 5 villages, which allows to enjoy it's beauty without being overwhelmed by the crowd.

One of the few positive side notes about this pandemic, is that a lot people reconsidered their priorities.

When It comes to travel, they privilege slow tourism rather than eat and go; giving theirself time to enjoy the experience more than the location itself.

is a creative soul, who stopped by the hostel as a guest and left as a friend; her kindness and empathy made our place shine

IT COULD BE WORSE..
IT COULD RAIN...

While the hostel is empty due to the lack of tourists and restrictions on displacement, we feel extremely lucky to be surrounded by nature and beauty, instead of a concrete jungle.
Even being confined in our town is bearable this way 🥰

KAYAK SUNSET TOUR by

Amazing tour around the beautiful coast of Baiia blu, Lerici and Fiascherino.
4 hours paddling and swimming in hidden caves and secluded beaches, having beers, focaccia and laughs with experienced tour guides

Right now, the world had to slow down.
What, once upon a time, was taken for granted, is currently a privilege.
It all depends on what your passport shows, or what flag you're living under..
But we don't give up hope, we're enjoying every single moment we can make our guests feeling home away from home; wishing to get back to the real hostel life soon, and looking forward to visiting our own beautiful country with different eyes.

In a different, and for a lot of people, horrible time of life, I feel blessed to be healty, surrounded by people who care about me and last but not least being able to do my dream job ( although in a different way currently).

Minimum distance between beds? No problem! Our rooms are spacious enough to guarantee a comfy and safe stay! Some of them also have a private balcony, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, or the packed breakfast that we offer ;)
