Qual è la scintilla che ha dato origine a tutta questa bellezza?
In questo primo episodio del nostro format Our History, vi portiamo indietro nel tempo, alle radici profonde del Fiermonte Museum. Tutto ha inizio con una donna straordinaria: Antonia Fiermonte.
Pianista, musa e figura libera, Antonia fu il cuore pulsante e l’ispirazione estetica di due dei più grandi scultori francesi del Novecento: René Letourneur e Jacques Zwobada. Ma oltre alla legenda e alle opere a lei dedicate, ci sono dettagli d’archivio e aneddoti intimi che svelano chi fosse davvero Antonia e come il suo spirito continui a vivere in ogni angolo di questo museo.
Chi era Antonia? E come siamo arrivati fino a qui, a La Fiermontina Family Collection?

What was the spark that gave birth to all this beauty?
In this first episode of our Our History series, we take you back in time to the deep roots of the Fiermonte Museum. It all began with an extraordinary woman: Antonia Fiermonte.
A pianist, muse, and free spirit, Antonia was the beating heart and aesthetic inspiration for two of the greatest French sculptors of the 20th century: René Letourneur and Jacques Zwobada. Beyond the legend and the works dedicated to her, there are archive details and intimate anecdotes revealing who Antonia truly was and how her spirit continues to live in every corner of this museum.

Dopo la presentazione del progetto del 12 aprile, a maggio prende vita il nostro gruppo di lettura. Il primo incontro sarà dedicato alla storia di Camille Claudel, scultrice francese, musa e amante di Rodin.
Una voce potente e spesso dimenticata, che – come Antonia – cerca spazio attraverso memoria, ascolto e riconoscimento.
Un’occasione per condividere riflessioni, storie di donne artiste e nuovi sguardi sul passato.

Presentazione del gruppo di lettura “Antonia e le altre”, ispirato alla figura di Antonia Fiermonte, artista e donna simbolo di creatività e libertà espressiva.
Un nuovo spazio di incontro e condivisione che, attraverso un ciclo di 8 appuntamenti, diventerà un angolo di lettura non convenzionale: un’occasione per scoprire e raccontare le storie di donne che, come Antonia, hanno creato, innovato e lasciato un segno nel loro tempo. Voci diverse, unite dal desiderio di raccontarsi e di creare connessioni.

L’incontro prevede una visita guidata al museo con la curatrice, seguita dalla presentazione del bookclub a cura della prof.ssa Margherita Prisco.

Presentation of the reading group “Antonia and the Others”, inspired by the figure of Antonia Fiermonte, an artist and a woman symbolizing creativity and freedom of expression.
A new space for meeting and sharing that, through a cycle of 8 sessions, will become an unconventional reading corner: an opportunity to discover and tell the stories of women who, like Antonia, created, innovated, and left their mark on their time. Different voices, united by the desire to share their stories and connect.

The meeting will include a guided tour of the museum with the curator, followed by the presentation of the book club by Prof. Margherita Prisco.
