Italy is special all year round, but the music in summer is something else! This week we’ve had so much fine … Saturday night at Barga Piazza festival, we stumbled upon the village orchestra playing on Monday night, got offered free tickets for Alanis Morrisette Wednesday night, and to top it all, were at an incredible Simple Minds gig at Lucca musical festival last night! So far the summer is off to a great start. We’ve had an at home Glastonbury, a few thunder storms, flowers are in full bloom and the firefly season was spectacular! July and August are full of festivals so expecting more adventures! Happy summer holidays tutti!

The Garfagnana at this time of year is spectacular. I planted the red flower in an old riding boot, stuck in a couple of cuttings and lo and behold they’re sprouted too! Sits nicely within the Jasmine. So nice to see 3 flowers thriving in the same space … isn’t nature magic.
