Our Story

Golfo Gabella Lake Resort looks directly out over the lake from the picturesque village of Maccagno in the northern province of Varese. Placed at the entrance to the Veddasca valley, this area is characterized by the ancient settlements and old stone villages which are scattered throughout this charming, yet wild, landscape.

The only newly built collection of lakefront apartments with its own swimming pool, restaurant and bar in the Italian lakes, Golfo Gabella offers a contemporary twist on one of the world's most historic tourist destinations. Providing a unique feeling of exclusivity on the lake and with award winning interior designs by Simone Micheli, a restaurant and bar, guests can fully relax in newly built, contemporary luxury. The on-site services are unique to Lake Maggiore and provide a level above any other such resort or hotel in the surrounding area. An impressive panoramic wood deck rises up in the centre of the resort with a large swimming pool, whirlpool bath and kids pool that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Within the development are one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses with varying layouts. Due to the positioning of the buildings, almost all of the properties enjoy views over the lake or the pool area. The Acquadulza restaurant and lounge bar, again designed by Simone Micheli, offers various culinary interpretations through its combination of traditional ingredients and tastes paired with captivating views of the lake. There is a lounge bar where guests can enjoy delicious appetizers served on the terrace, as well as a wine bottega where you can discover fine wines, including local vintages, along with characteristic dishes.
